Perfect Brew Guide: Moka Pot Espresso

Steps to Brew:

1. Preheat the Water: Start by preheating the water. Pour hot water into the bottom chamber of the Moka Pot, just below the safety valve. Preheating helps reduce the bitterness from over-extraction.

2. Fill the Filter Basket: Add finely ground 11th R Coffee beans into the filter basket. Level the grounds without pressing down. The coffee should be evenly distributed for balanced extraction.

3. Assemble and Heat: Assemble your Moka Pot, ensuring all parts are tightly screwed together. Place it over medium heat with the lid open. The key here is moderate heat — you want to build pressure slowly for the best flavor.

4. Wait for the Magic: As the water heats, it will create steam pressure, pushing through the grounds. You’ll hear a gentle bubbling and see the rich espresso flowing into the top chamber. When you hear a hissing sound, it means all the water has been pushed through — it’s time to remove the pot from the heat.

5. Cool the Base: To stop brewing immediately and avoid bitterness, place the base under cold running water for a few seconds.

6. Pour and Enjoy: Pour your fresh Moka Pot espresso into your favorite cup, and enjoy the bold flavors of 11th R Coffee. Whether you take it as a straight shot or add a splash of milk, it’s sure to be a satisfying brew.

Pro Tip: Use filtered water and freshly ground beans for the best results. Consistency in grind size can make a big difference in flavor.

Brewing the perfect with a Moka Pot isn’t just about making coffee — it’s about the experience, the aroma, and the anticipation.
